St Louis 23rd Slot Car Collectors Show/Swap Meet
April 15, 2007

MGPMRC brought out it's portable oval to the Show.  Carl made sure there was enough nice, level space.  The club got it set up in under 30 minutes.
The track was more or less busy from open to close.  There were probably about as many people interested in the build as in the local club scene.
Maybe we will not only get some new members but some new local tracks as well.

The show was very well attended.  The floor was busy all the way up to close.  Lots more 1/32 and 1/24 stuff this year even though there seemed to be
more HO folks in attendance.  From the sellers I talked to throughout the day it was a good show.  The attendees also had good things to say.  They
liked that there were HO tracks as well as a larger track there to play on and to test out any new purchases.

I really enjoyed the conversations that I had with a lot of the attendees.  There were folks new to slot cars, had kids just getting interested in it, and more.
If you have never come to a St Louis show you are missing something.  They are only getting better and better.  If you live in the area you have a few
great clubs to join.  They each race on different nights and usually race different cars (as well as scales).

This is the famous H&R chassis.  I wish he would have brought a few to the show.  I know many club members who are in the market for a 1/24 chassis.  It ran well on the track.  Here is the chassis in action:
